The Works is founded. Spun directly from an advertising agency, the company seeks to provide a compelling alternative to traditional recruiting resources.

 

Focused squarely on branding, creative and PR, staffed

only by brand marketers, creatives and PR professionals, and differentiated by a deeply consultative, service-oriented, value-added approach, The Works successfully completes 80 searches in a year.

 

The Works opens offices in New York, launches a dedicated retained search practice, and diversifies network completing retained, contingency, contract and freelance engagements in San Francisco, New York, Dallas, Winston-Salem, Vermont and New Hampshire.

 

The Works opens its Providence office, and undertakes its first engagements aimed helping growing agencies scale through mergers and acquisitions consulting.

 

The Works deepens partnership with small agencies, forming its first strategic partnership to manage all hiring and outsourcing for a growing Boston-based ad agency.

 

The Works expands consulting services, helping a brand strategy firm retool its business, acquire executive management, and develop a comprehensive virtual agency resource.
